Im thinking of buying an Inspiron 6000 in the not to distant future. I'm wondering if its currently possible to upgrade the gfx in the future should the need arise. How difficult is it in general to upgrade laptop parts . CPU/RAM/HD/GFX

Is it a 6000 or a 6000d?

On this page the 6000 itself has no video upgrade path whereas the 6000d has.

Interesting. So if I were to buy the Inspiron 6000 with the x300 gfx option selected I would be able to upgrade easily enough.

Another question - because its on the x16 platform would it be feasibly to use a different possibly better gfx card other than the x300 series, such as the other models on the more expensive dell systems.
