Fitz Last Night

Well I was at table 7 last night and have to say it was very lively and we must of had the most buy ins. I was doing quite well, head below radar, no buy ins. About 10 mins to go to last three hands for buy ins, then carnage. Pocket AA's on BB, raised to 700, two callers. Flop 2 7 9 (two spades) and i have Aspades. All in, called by Christy with flush draw which he duly filled on the turn, buy in. The very next hand pocket KK's, all in 1K called by three, lost. Little break of ten mins or so, looked down at my hand, Pocket JJ's all in, 3 callers, and they held up!!!! Strange game. Went card dead after the break, and held on til the last three tables. Made a big stand on Pocket queens, only to run into the BB (Dave) sitting there with Pocket Aces. Really enjoyed the game, played the cards to the best of my ability. There were a load of norwegian guys in last night. They are over for the poker festival. Don't hold your breath looking for any loose play from them in the cash games. I was playing at a table and one of the Norwegian guys played two hands in an hour. I got my money back I paid in the Tournament and a profit for the night of bout €150, so I had a good night. There was 8 tables and 1st prize was €4K. There was a good crowd and atmosphere, I don't know how it finished and who won. Left far too late at 4.00 a.m. and am wrecked. They are running early satellites each of the days, starting at 4.00 p.m. so well worth dropping in or phoning for info. Anyway if anyone knows who won please tell me. Cheers, Murph

In the last festival, there was no freeroll for the 270 game, just a string of one-table satellites from 4pm on. I'm sure some of the Fitz dealers will be on to clarify (when they wake up!).

That's one of the reasons I didn't play last nights game... I had a feeling it would be crazy! So It's just down to the Friday and Saturday game for me now.

It wasn't that bad, I just got good cards cracked. As the saying goes sh*t happens. The most you could spend was €210, so at least there was a ceiling on it. It is the unlimited rebuy tournaments that scare me no end. People going all in all over the shop to get a tank for themselves. Also at our table there was a guy who had pocket Aces 6 times, it was unreal. Not to mention the combination of AQ, AJ, AK Suited, unsuited he got. I would say he was dissapointed if every second hand didn't have an Ace in it. Staying at home tonight to recharge batteries and then go in tomorrow night.

With 1/2hr blinds this one had 4am+ written all over it.
