So people, what's going to win? It's a tough one to call, you could make a case for more than half the field.

My win bet is on Kickham and my each way on Junior Fontaine.

Kickham has been threatening to win a race like this for some time and give him my slight preference over Warrens Castle, mainly based on his 15 length beating of Warrens Castle last August at Ballinrobe. He goes off a reasonable enough weight in 11-1 and has the assistance of Tony McCoy, the ground shouldn't be a problem. The only concern is the distance, it's a couple of furlongs further that he's been before.

I managed to get some of the 16/1 on offer for Junior Fontaine earlier today, it's into 12/1 now. He's a different horse on firmer ground, his 5th in this race last year is a very solid performance, considering he has major weight swings with horses like Ansar and Banasan. He has definitely got a good chance of making the first 4.

I think Mir Pour has a super chance in this. I've backed Barrack Buster each way with a win bet for mir pour.

Kickham is a big danger....good horse, good jock....aimed at this race all year.....should be an interesting race all the same

In the opener at Galway I really like the look of King of Foxrock, his record on Good to Firm or firmer ground is very good. It reads 2nd of 17, 1st of 27, 3rd of 9. Paul Carberry taking the ride is also another plus.

Barrack Buster has been confirmed as a non runner even though he was listed a first reserve. 2nd reserve Il En Reve gets in for the absent Khairamber. I'm not quite sure why that happened.

Is Barrack Buster still a reserve Fade or is he in now?

Yep went on the nose MirPour too...fingers crossed, had a shocker yesterday Could do with the lift before the trek west this evening for the rest of the week!

On a side note I reckon Sleeping Indian in the 3.25 at Goodwood is a good bet, although odds are tightening as we speak.

Following on from Master's comment earleir, was in the Bookie's at lunch, Barrack Buster and the third reserve for the Plate are non runners, 2nd reserve Il En Reve is in for Khairamber.

I backed Kickham at lunch. His first run was timed to get him right for today.
he won on good to firm ground over this distance this time last year in Tipp after a seven month layoff. I kind of would prefer if Barry Geraghty was riding him - but McCoy will do just fine !!

    It's the 15.40.

Just had a nibble on Mutakarrim to place at 4.5, Jim Culloty's value choice. It looks wide open.
