    ok so i bought one of these cables soley so i could watch certain movies on my tv and thenit comes up black nd white and my video card dosent have a 50Hz option it does have 42Hz interlaced but tht dont work either

    video card:MSI aTIRaedon 9250 128MB
    ive tried it with a nvidia geforce3 64MB from dell

    you have to change the pal settings on your tv. i dont know which one is right so try them all til you get the right one.some tvs cant change the settings tho

    as far as i kno the tv isnt capable of 60Hz

    Depending on the graphics card and driver you have, you may have the option to output different TV formats. I had a similar experience with my Toshiba laptop. It allows output in a rake of PAL and NTSC formats. A lot of them displayed in B&W, but with trial & error I was able to get a color picture.

    What sort of connections are on the cable you're using?
