This was put together for members of my site, but I asked the guy if it was stricly Poker.ie members, and he said no, the more the merrier. So I thought I would throw it up here. You can get a month membership of www.screenclick.com for 5euros, with the registration code pokeriedvd75 . The details of the promotion are available here. And if you play online poker, you can win 6 weeks of membership by taking part in the tourneys..details are in same link.

Cheers. They do a free 14 day trial. Do you know if you can get both 14 days free and then €5 for the extra month straight after?

how do you stop the postman stealing the dvds?

I'd say they have some kind of contract with An Post. If whatever Postman decided to nick the DVD, he would be stupid to do it twice. Screenclick apparantely have an excellent customer service track record, so any worries like that Im sure would be easily dismissed. Also they probably work on a reliance on averages. Very few postmen would risk their job to steal one or two dvds aswell.

You actually dont ever have to return the DVD - theres no late charges whatsoever :) But the faster you return one, the faster you get your next one...a friend of mine gets about 12 a month. I'd say Xtravision are a wee bit scared ! Serves them right though, rip off.

I think the small print says you must give 7 days notice to cancel. my plan was to bring my writer into work, have them delivered in work, ripped by 9.30, in the post by 10 so they may be back to the company the next day, so you should get one with only a one day gap between, wonder if you could just drop it in if you lived near.
Of course you could only do this with ones that you can legally copy

I was memeber about 6 months ago and it was terrible. I put in a huge amount movies to watch as they appeared to have a good range. I never got a DVD in my top 15. They might have improved I guess.

well apparently now they have Irelands biggest DVD collection. Even if they didnt have every single title you would want, it would be many times better than your average video rental store.

there is another thread on this forum about the irish online rental site Busy Bee which also mentions screen clicks in not too favourable a light.
still thanks for this i will probably give it a go.

I used them also, actually got the 14 day free trial, won a months free from a radio station and then I cancelled before I ended up paying for it. As I was about to go on holidays. But would definitely go back to them in the winter.
If you send it back that day and they recieve it, they'll send you one straight back, they are good at that.
In relation to them sending you the DVDs you want, I noticed that if you have only 5 DVDs on your list that you will get any 5 of them, but if you fill your list for the sake of it, they will give you the dvds that are further down on your list. I would say that most people have the top 20 DVDs on their list and then some people have loads of different old movies, so to be able to deliver DVDs to everyone, they seem to give the old DVDs to those who have them as oppose to new DVDs which go to those who only have small lists with mainly new DVDs.
