Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Very true, the fat thing has nothing to do with their music, but I mean they can get slim without abandoning their instruments and that.

    It is harder to listen to fat or ugly bands, take the magic numbers for example!

    Once you're fat its time to hang up your guitars. That's as true for the Pixies and New Order as it is for the greatest Rock'N'Roll band in the world ever, The Stooges, who are now greedy lumpen behemoths.

    Knock it on the head before people forget your good early stuff and they only think of you as money-grabbing, opportunistic lardasses, which is how I now view the Pixies. Of course I'm old enough to have gone to see them in 1989 so I have something to compare it with rather than viewing their current cabaret as something akin to the emergence of Lazarus from the tomb.

    What was that line from 'losing my edge'? oh yeah, 'borrowed nostalgia for the unremembered 80s'. :p

    I think that though Frank is a little on the large side...he's always been that size and he wouldn't be Frank without the weight!!
    He carries it off quite well...and just because he's large does not mean he's past it...have you heard him sing broken face?! He can still do all the "aha" stuff.
    So don't be a loony and expect good bands to be to be thin with shiny teeth! Thats not pixies style at all.
