    Hi

Posted this before on Antiques/Collectibles but might get more responses here...

Does anyone know of any decent car boot sales in Cork City/County? Especially regular ones.

Have heard there's one in Castletownroche, Rathcormac and possibly in Crosshaven.

So if you have any details of days, times, cost and locations, much appreciated.

Two I sometimes go to are Rathcormac and Castletownroche.
Pleasant enough way of spending an evening, especially browsing for old hardbacked books.

There used to be one every Sunday in Eccles Hotel in Glengarriff... bit of a drive, and I don't know if it still exists, haven't been there in about 10 years.

The Rathcormac Car Boot Sale continues on a Sunday ever 4 weeks, the next one being the 4th of March 2007, and thereafter 1st April, 29 April, 27 May, 24th June etc.

It remains for the time being at the existing venue - the field on the right as you enter the village from the Cork side (its supposed to move to a new venue later this year, as housing is planned for that field!).

Hi. I know I am late replying but just today I saw a road side advert for a Car Boot Sale in BANDON RUGBY FOOTBALL CLUB on the CLONAKILTY ROAD for July 11th. As I was interested I enquired & was told that they had one last month & due to interest, they decided to go again. Will be going myself.

Theres a market in Bantry town every friday, with a bigger one on the first friday of the month. Its a market town so you should be able to just come along and set up, without stepping on anyones toes. Its hard to get a good space so if I were you I would go there early, see the lay of the land and set up once you identify a space. I did this market for 7 months, I also did Skibbereen every Sat. Bantry was definatley well worth it. Hosfords garden centre in Bandon do monthly markets, which was hit and miss. I made and sold bread, pastries brownies etc and did alright out of it.
    Best of luck
