    Miserable weather.

Great to see Emily Maher winning a title again. A great race. She really fought off Sheehy in those last 50m.

Ryan ran a fast bend but Brizzell came past him in the men's 200m.

Dismal presentation by AAI. No style or panache.

Another national record for Eileen O'Keeffee in the Hammer.

Hope the weather picks up a bit for tomorrow.

The 2 200m finals were very exciting - the result in each case in doubt right up to the line. The Steeplechase was also a very good race, won (as usual) by Eugene O'Neill, but he got a bit of a fright from a foreign sounding gentleman from Ballynonty. As well as the men's 800m tomorrow, the women's equivalent is also shaping up to be a good race between Kelly Reid and Aoife Byrne. The Women's 100m should also be a classic if all run - Boyle, Maher, Sheehy and McSweeney. I agree that the presentation was a bit dead today - field events seemed almost non-events. Hard to know they were on until they were brought over to the presentation. Here's hoping for a good day's athletics tomorrow.

    Frickin' freezin'

Some nice racing. Coman totally bossed the men's 400m race.

Some great racing - besides what's already been mentioned, Jolene Byrne beat Maria McCambridge by 1/100 of a sec in 1500m; men's 1500m won by Gary Murray, Fagan won 5000, Mary Cullen had an easy win in the women's equivalent. 9th title for Karen Shinkins, great race in 800 as O'Connell beats Chamney. In the sprints Anna Boyle and Gary Ryan too good for the opposition.
