Why do RTE never show the credits of films?

They either just chop as the credits start or play only half the credits. I hate this, I always like to see who sang songs in the film or whatever and I never can with RTE. To me, the credits are part of the film.

Probably because they can't keep to their bloody schedules and then have regain time wherever they can.

I guess it's because most people will just flick over to another channel when the end titles start to roll.

I hate not being able to read the titles myself... but just look at what people are like in the cinema, they can't wait to jump up out of their seats and make a run for the door.

The end of Fantastic Four was rediculas when I went to see it the other day as it had a little bit after 'The End' comes up on screen but about half the people in the cinema missed it as they were already up out of their seats and heading towards the door.

Plus, it doesn't really matter these days anyway as you cant get all the info online from IMDB et al

RTE often show the full credits of films.

I'm not a big fan of RTE or anything but stating that they *never* show the credits is, well.... just wrong.

    And I'm a pedant.

True. RTE don't normally cut credits but if they are running late they have to.

More time for advert, therefore more adverts, therefore more money.

Depends on the movie. Generally they never show the end credits to their BIG BIG MOVIE on saturday nights.

The Midweek Movie generally has full credits.

I don't think RTE TWO cut the credits but I could be wrong.

Often continunity annoucers will talk over the credits which is really annoying when you want to hear the end credit music. This happens on all most every station.

It is also annoying when you want to see a music credit if the credits aren't shown fully.
