just back from the cross. good game with great atmosphere. both fans in good voice.

however, in the second half rovers fans started causing trouble. bottles and coins thrown into the stand where city fans were.

they spent the whole second half shouting abuse at the st annes end - most of them weren't even looking at the action on the pitch. disgrace.

ah well, another 3 points, and shels dropping some again! league title here we come :D

    Clear enough for me.

We all know what will happen now though.

The Rovers fans will find some way to blame City for this, always will.

I had wondered how to take your original post, were you being sarcastic, were you trying to pull the p!ss, what.

But now it has become clear, funny though, maybe I'm just tired, but I think your response is hilarious.

Both Rovers and City fans were throwing shapes.

Then the law were called to investigate...cue the Police Academy music from the Shed End :D

Rovers played ok but didnt have somebody to stick it in the net. McCourt stood out.

City were excellent at different periods in the game but its hard to play to that level for 90 minutes.

Great to hear the "Banks" at the end of the game! :)

Apparently whatever was reported in the Echo was just rubbish, Rovers fans caused little or no trouble, and the only person ejected from the ground was a Cork fan.

^ Dunno about anyone being ejected Bateman, but the rest of what you said is spot on. It was reported in Saturdays Echo that Shams went nuts in The Horseshoe Bar, and The Tory Top Bar, neither of which is true. There will be a retraction in tonights echo, as both publicans are quite miffed about this.

Also, the bottle throwing incidents. Well the first bottle that was thrown came from a City 'fan'. The Shams guy merely threw it back.

After the game alright a few Shams fans were looking to start, but no-ne bothered thank God.

I think we better end this kind of banter now before we get accused of breaking some rule or another.

Well looks like this was just another case of anti-Rover bull****. The Echo is to print a full retraction because the story was a pack of lies without any truth whatsoever.
