    Hi

Just wondering where you all go to research a company who's stock you are interested in?

I am wondering as there are many sites out there for us companies/stock but very few for uk and I have yet to see on for irish companies/stock.

It is mainly uk and irish companys/PLC'S that i am looking for details of

Hope you might be able to help....

Try these sites I use them all quite frequently. I find Yahoo Finance the best they even let you set up your portfolio for free with them which lets you accurately keep track of all your holding and their value.

    www.yahoo.co.uk
    www.sharewatch.com
    www.goodbodys.com
    www.davys.ie

Try ise.ie for Irish shares you can print out graphs going back i think six years which is the statoury requirement. ftse.co.uk for english shares.

Read the Financial Times particular the part which reports on sectors.

If you are into short term trading, I would use alert services of websites such as www.forbes.com . They are very good for US stocks, not sure about UK and Irish.
Also I find the google alerts service very useful for getting the latest news on a company.
    :)
