We have just been offered accomodation in Florida for 2 weeks sometime in June / July 2006. The Orlando street address is

    Bobolink Ln,
    Orlando,
    FL 32803

Have never been to any U.S. east coast states, and what pops to mind is humidity? Any opinions on the location and weather. We lived in California for a number of years and are used to dry heat. We have 2 young kids under 4 yrs of age. Are there direct flights from Dublin to Orlando?

The humidity to tough during the summer all right it depends on your comfort level. I prefer dry heat too so tend to avoid Florida at this time of year (i've friend over there who I try to visit a couple of times a year).

The clowns selected Orlando which is basically a tourist city alone and was already very well served from Belfast by package operator.

The one to select is Miami because it is the principal US hub to the Carribean and Central/South America from a direct tourism point of view it is a cultural hotbed of latino and American culture and Ocean Drive is easily one of the best nightspots I've been and when I was there was the first week of December 2001 when the tourist industry had collapsed.

There is a very good hotel on about the 20th or 21st Block of Collins Drive called the something Bannana, it has a bar and a pool and was only $40 a night off season for a double room on a demand booking basis, they have details at the airport. Its 100m from South Beach and about a mile from Ocean Drive, I wouldn't do Florida with out doing Ocean Drive and hiring a Harley to do the Florida Keys.
