Further to a discussion yesterday about city centre beer gardens - all of those listed were very much Southside city. Aren't there any that are slap bang in the middle, or even Northside?

The Big Tree, has a beer garden of sorts, covered out the back, not a bad spot when a match is on, doesn't get an awful lot of sun unfortunately.

Fagan's in Drumcondra has a lovely beer garden.

Meaghers of Ballybough has a nice beer car park.

There's plenty of beer gardens out in north county pubs, lots of really nice ones.

The porterhouse north has one, the slipper opposite DCU (tis just behind Matt Weldon's pub) has one around the back, although you do get a lot of students in there when they're back in college.

Fibbers on parnell street :) alright that's more of a beer car park. They used to have a great beer garden, nearly larger then the inside.

Another vote for the Porterhouse North - very comfortable beer garden and they serve pretty good food (for a pub!) to boot.

mmm, spicy chicken wings :) Nice selection of beers to try aswell, although it's a bit off putting when you buy a bottle of something there for 6 euro and wander a bit up the road and find the same for 3 euro.
