What type of antenna is this?

    Folks,

    Take a look at the attached (sorry for the blurry picture). What type of antenna is this - (presumably its for Sat)? What might it be used for? Broadband or TV? It faces North/South.

    So this works on line of sight - point to point?

    Is there a map of the transmitter locations anywhere?
    What frequency does this operate at.

    The antenna looks interesting - in my pic (see first post), the open side of the antenna (opposite side of the pole) points toward the Northwest and Woodcock Hill (Co. Clare) - presumably the transmitter is up there....

    Anyone know more about these things?

    Yes it is Line of Sight, full details of its operational requirements can be found on www.irishbroadband.ie in the downloads section
