The Gf Bought A VW polo off someone 3 months ago, Last week the Oxygen Senser Went, Now 80% its very hard to get into second gear, you almost have to go straight into 3rd gear, its kinda dangerous taken off fast ie from roundabouts etc, It this a sign that the gearbox is going?

O2 sensor and gearbox not related and O2 sensors will die eventually, just like spark plugs and brake linings.

As for the box, first check you do not have worn linkage bushings, and while you are under there, check you have the correct level of oil in the box.

Yeah, and judging by my experience this week, check the clutch fluid level!
