I need to buy in a load of cables (standard rj45 and phone cables - rj11??).

I phoned maplins to get aprice list.. which they can't send out, so a guy with a breaking voice read out the prices to me on the phone:

    RJ45:
    3m 7.79
    10m 10.79
    20m 27.99

    telephone:
    3m 5.39
    8m 8.99

    this seems a tad pricey.

Can anyone suggest somewhere more reasonable? Preferably a place with a pricelist or catalogue so I know what I'm buying and can get a PO up and running to save time? A place that delivers would be nice too.

The online catalogue is handy for getting the right no. ready, before you call up.

Galway's only a village anyway, and I deliver.

    How much do you need?

I'm actually looking for the 2, 3 and 4 metre lengths with the connectors on the ends (as opposed to a big roll of the stuff that I cut and stick connectors onto), it's for a patch panel and desktop (and phone) connections.

only really need spares to supplement what I have already so it's only a small order (but in the future, there may be more as other business units get underway).

    just 10 3metre lengths of cat5 , and 5 3m lengths of telephone cable.

To be honest, you'd be better off buying a crimpers, plugs and cable. Patch leads supplied made up are only good for very low or very high volumes. I could do the lot for about 50 bills, cash. If you've something I want as a swop, better again.

I make both, and I'm a load cheaper than that. RJ 45, standard and Crossover, and RJ 11, any length. I'm in Galway, if that helps, or not. Tell me what you want, and I'll quote.
