AV Superwand Video Sender Sky + Remote Problem

Anyone using one of these with Sky +? I bought one in Argos today and I have perfect sound and picture but I can't get the remote to work through it. I am not sure if I am doing something wrong or if the Sky + remote doesn't work with it?

have you plugged in the little cable into the sender and positioned one of the little blocks infront of the sky box.

Yes. Is that just an ordinary Sky box you have? I am wondering if the Sky + remote uses different frequencies?
