ftv card not working

    I got ftv card and put it in last night but after ten hours it only says searching for listings, i dont even get bbc. Anyone know of a reason for this?

    Try unplugging the box for a few minutes

    presumably you switch between cards then Gipo so does anyone know the best way to go about regularly swapping these? eg should you switch off box first, then switch cards.wait 5 mins.etc. or does it just depend on the box?

    IMO it is best to put box on standby before card swapping , just as a precaution.

    I dont switch much however, also I have seen some people saying they have been "hot-swapping" for ages, with no affect.

    Hot swaping seems to have be come more difficult since the last software updates. Using the fta card seems to cause the most problem for with 2 box. One a pany and the other Grundig.

    best option is to power cycle the box and then insert the card while its off, because the box will sometimes get confused and lock up, i had once taken out my normal skycard and it stayed showing mtv2 for 10 minutes without a card, but during this period none of the on screen user interface came up and hence when the box recoved it asked me to insert the card.

    other cases that work is not to swap the card so fast, leave it say for 10-20 seconds then insert it.
