Hey, any recommendations for a hotel for a weekend break in Westport? I was thinking of booking the Castlecourt, if anyone has stayed there could you please let me know what its like. We are a young couple just looking for a nice couple of nights together.

    Thanks.

The Castlecourt is a good centrally located hotel with a fairly lively night-club, two other options would be Hotel Westport which has fantastic grounds or one of the newer hotels out the Quay which are cheaper and have great views of Clew Bay but are a mile outside the town centre.

Hotel Westport is really nice (but expensive).

Castlecourt, old style hotel, long established, extremely friendly staff, good location, good 'west of ireland' disco (not too much boom titti boom !)

Hotel Westport, more quaint, modern, lovely grounds, busy with weddings.

If you are looking for a chilled out stay, a bit of a hidden treasure, try the Railway Hotel, located centre of town on river, very old style, no modernisation, but really rustic feel .... breakfast amazing !!

Ran like a house rather than a hotel.

Having only been to the Castlecourt, I can't speak of other hotels in the area, but I speak highly. Great spot, centrally located and great food too.

Westport is a great place for a relaxing weekend, I'm sure your boyfriend will love it too.

    Enjoy if you go!

Thanks for the advice, I'll check out those other hotels.

Eh, that would be my girlfriend 6ix, I guess I should really fill in some details on my profile!
