BIG DAY OUT SUNDAY 24TH JULY 2005 GOREY TOWN PARK


Gorey Skate Club in association with Jimi Cullen Music, Gorey Town Council, Gorey Community Development Group and F.D.Y.S. are holding a fund raising concert in Gorey Town Park Sunday July 24th to raise funds for Gorey Skate Club.


"Big Day Out 2005" is proudly sponsored by Gorey Business Park, McCauleys Pharmacy, and Maloccas Fast Food. Also helping out with some sponsorship is Sounds Good, Electric Design, AIB, BOI and PTSB.
This will be one of the main highlights in Gorey over the summer months and will have everything from Children's Entertainment to live music.

Big Day Out will start at 1pm and finish around 8pm. Providing the music entertainment for everyone will be some of the towns most up and coming talent. A full list of all the acts is as follows:

There will be no charge into the town park ( yes a free gig) but as its a fundraiser, members of Gorey Rampage Inline Hockey team and Gorey Skate Club will be collecting money in buckets so please, make a donation.

Providing some light childrens entertainment for a few hours in the afternoon will be the Wacky Cart from Courtown and some carzy Pirate also! We will have a local facepainter Margaret Molloy, showing off her talents for a few hours aswell.

We have been generously donated some great raffle prizes so if you are feeling lucky you could win some of the following gifts:

Also present on the day will be some members of Gorey Red Cross, the Gardai, a chip van, portaloos and lots of rubbish bins.

GSC will have a gazebo set up with some information regarding the skatepark proposal and also on Inline Hockey. You will be able to purchase the raffle tickets here aswell.

This will be the first fundraiser organised by the Club in conjunction with other Groups. We hope to have many more so if its a successful day... maybe we will be back next year? Maybe bigger and better? who knows?

The organisers would like to ask that you take care entering the parks main entrance, that you respect the park at all times and all the local residents around.

This should be a great family day out with something for everyone so make sure you come along with all your friends and family, support the organisers and make it a successful day for everyone.I encourage al to go no matter what part of ireland you may come from.
