I can't get my 2 x 512mb Mushkin PC3200 L2V2 to work together when installed in DIMM slots 2 & 4. 1 stick in either slot 2 or 4 works fine. I've used Memtest 3.2 to test both sticks individually and together but no errors are reported. Everything was working fine for last month or so until I put an Artic VGA Silencer onto my Leadtek 6600GT and reinstalled XP. That was about 1 week ago and now I get BSOD's every time XP loads up. Happens are different intervals. I tried upgrading BIOS to 623-3 to no avail. I've loaded optimized defaults in the BIOS and am not overclocking anything. I thought it was my 6600GT at first so tried a few things and even have stock cooler back on. No change. Any ideas?

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

Unlikely it's your ram presuming memtest is still ok. Did you try another graphics card? Are you using official nvidea drivers? I take it XP is SP2 and fully patched and we can rule out virus / spyware?

Have you an Audigy2 soundcard by any chance? That has caused me headaches in the past until I changed driver version (once had to install older version than I had, once had to use newer one)

Didn't try another graphics card. I'm almost 100% sure it's not the graphics card. System runs fine with only 1 stick of ram in. I am using officicial NVidia drivers anyway. I think 71.84 is the driver version I'm using. Didn't take the plunge for the new drivers yet as I hear a few problems need to be ironed out. Freshly installed XP Pro about 10 times over the last week. Fully patched. ZoneAlarm and AVG installed. Soundcard is M-Audio Revolution 7.1 but I only installed that last night as I'm running with 512mb at the moment so I can at least use the PC!

Anybody? Have now tried the 310, 310-2 and 623-3 BIOS with no joy. I've checked out DFI-Street.com with no joy either.
