I have been trying to find
a decent room with a late bar and dance floor and that
we could rent for the night but have so far come up
empty. I was also thinking it would be cool to have a
band for early on in the night pumping out numbers by
Sinatra, Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald and Keane. If
anyone knows of such a talented ensemble and a likely
venue for them to play in, please let me know.

    thanks

there's a place on Lwr Mount St called the Head Office; they have a function room... most places just partition off a section though if you're having a party so maybe a GAA club closer to home?
or Traffic on Abbey St i'm nearly sure you can hire out a room in..

I was at a party upstairs in the longstone a few years back. It is small enough upstairs. I think a few pubs will set aside the upstairs, under the condition that you have a minimum amount of people, if you don't get the people in then they will just allow anybody upstairs, fair enough really. They will probably expect you to buy the pub food.

AFOAF had a 30th in a resturaunt in monkstown, they just took over the whole resturaunt for the night, it was a bring your own booze place.

Should be about 150 or so at it. Nightmare trying to find somewhere with a bit of class.
