In SBS2003, I can log in remotely to my account using 'http://IP_ADDRESS/remote' but is there some way to access the files on the server aswell?

    Thanks

Perhaps you should rephrase that as
but is there some way to ENSURE THAT ONLY I CAN access the files on the server aswell?

SBS should allow you to setup OWA so you can connect into your email account. You should then be able to see email attachments, opening up further is even more scary unless you have a solid VPN in place
