    What do ye think?

My vote would go to either Ryan Jones or Simon Easterby.

Would have to go with the same, funny they were both late callups.

From 9-15, no one played remotely well, bar possibly Lewsey and Cueto.

I'd give it to Easterby, Jones made an impact but was in no way a leader that a number 8 should be, he was very much on his own(which you could understand)

The only other player possibly worth a mention was Shane Horgan, and he was confined to playing a bit-part role.

    For me, Easterby.

Easterby also IMHO, was committed for 80 + minutes every time he put on the red jersey.

Easterby would also have to be my player of the tour. When they called him up I was like Wtf but boy did he show me wrong.

I think Horgan also had a great tour and made very few stupid techincal faults with his butterfingers.

Also Jones was a great player when he got his games, but as said before he always seemed to be running alone.

Easterby was my player of tour

While i reckon Jones was good, i felt Easterby was a better lineout option and better tackler and more influential in the tests.

I'd have gone for Hodgeson but he never got a real chance. Jenkins was good but not as prominent in the loose in the tests.

Shane Horgan for me was the back of the tour.....not that he had any real time
to show it. Think he got just one start but he always made an impact when he
was on the field and it was shameful that greenwood started ahead of him!!!!!
    :eek

I read in the newspaper yesterday that the 2 FH's not considered for the Tests were the Lions' Top Points Scorers.

Charlie Hodgson was the top scorer with ROG in second and Shane Williams was third I think it was.

Backs of the tour for me were Lewsey and Horgan.

Would agree with Easterby and would also agree that not many put there hands up from 9-15. With the exception of Lewsy and definately Horgan ( hope he carries that confidence on to Leinster and Ireland next season ! )

RJ was also a pleasant surprise at 8 if a little selfish and predictable at times ( mind you surrounded by some of the "talent" on this tour that he probably thought WTF might as well go meself! )

Have to agree with RJ and Easterby.Still even though the pack improved as the tests went on i dont think Easterby would get on a tri nations team.Easterby is more destructive than constructive.

As for the backline Horgan looked good on no game time.Lewsey started ok.Thought ROG and Hodgson were ok apart from defense.

I would have liked Mike Ford to be defence coach for test team aswell

easterby was great, but i also thought donncha o callaghan was damn good... he outplayed o'connel and had been only added to the tour as an afterthought, like easterby. still can't believe he's older than o'connell! who would think it..

i agree Donncha played great but I think I'll go for Ryan Jones as player of the tournament!
