    i have deleted a file on my computer that held photos of very big importance and i need to get them back. i emptied my recycled bin already. can i get them back?

    Yes you can. Try not to write anything to your drive. There are programs for restoring deleted files. I'll dig you out a link now...

    This is from the "essential free software sticky". Never used it myself....but someone here has. It should do the job nicely.

    right, don't move/delete/install anything else. Its important that you write as little to the disk as possible, power it down, and get another computer. Put the drive in the other comp, and get some recovery software. Recover from the old drive.

    File Scavenger

    Someone else had this problem recently as well....do a search for the program used in that situation.

    just to let you know that this did the trick....i still cant believe it!. thanks so much for all your help and replys. khannie, you are a legend!!!! i got 99% of my photos back and i am happy with that. :D
