Overclocking and cooling....

Recently bought a computer with 8 fans in it, it's a 3.2 Prescott overclocked to 3.8... However noise is a problem for the person I'm sorting this out for as it will be used for music recording. If I put it back down to 3.2 could I do with just a CPU fan and case fan?

Also have a question, how can I tell how much the parts are drawing from the power supply at any time?

if you return the clock speed back to its stock value, it will run cooler, but
your cpu fan will still run at a fixed speed. Some motherboards have a CoolN'quiet option, that controls the speed of the fans depending on your systems temperature. You should see if you have any utility like this. It makes a big difference. 8 fans sound like a lot to me, I would say that two well placed case fans would be fine in most systems. I have one 120mm on the back and one 80mm on the front and my case temp. averages about 40 degrees. And I have a 3700+ 64bit AMD and a BFG6800gt

Thanks for the input, I thought 8 fans was a bit much also. Considering investing in a good one with those fancy speed changing and temperature reading things on the front. Fancy Fancy.
