Discussion about Type of Bombs used in London

    Hi,

Mods, lock and bin this, if you think its unsensitive at the moment.

This thread will be used to discuss what type of bombs were used in the explosions. I'm doing this, as some terrorist organisations have "trademark" bomb materials.

The biggest was most likely the bus. After seeing pictures of it ripped apart, I'd say it was the biggest bomb. The ones used on the trains seem to have been smaller bombs, as there were loud flashes, but mostly the (entire) trains were still structurly intact, tho the carrages (where the bomb was) may have come apart at the sides in one of two incidences. As yet there were no reports of any of the tunnels collasping.

This leads me to suspect that the amount of semtex, if used, was pretty small. Possibly lower grade explosive, or "home made" explosive.

IRA were most likely not the culprits, as they have nor "reason" to do so at the moment. I also have my doubts about Al Q doing it, as it seems a bit "small" compared to their past explosions.

I am not a bomb expert.... they used ones that caused damage, and possibly went Bang.

Poor Semtex haven't really being doing great business since the IRA ceasefire.

Last I heard they had taken up making lemonade...

a bit too early for conspiracey theories and analysing what has happened just yet IMO still an extremely sensitive subject

Still an ongoing issue, never mind a sensitive one, but I appreciate you starting a new thread on it. I won't lock it, the title is obvious, anyone who doesn't want to read it doesn't have to.

I think it most likely may have been a nuclear bomb

I'm thinking that the bus one was one stuck to someone.

I don't think this would even be a good topic on an explosiose forum.

Good work there detective, I'll email them over in England and let them know that it wasnt the IRA. I'll also tell them to ignore the statment by Al Queada, because the size of the attack doesnt compare to their past one attack.

    Please close this topic soon.
