Season Tickets

Ok this is probably very minor but it annoys the hell out of me! I'm doing a masters at the moment and I resent the way that I'm supposed to have the same cash as most of the working lads who go to home matches. The jump from under-18s price upto adults is pretty serious.

I've no problem going on a Winters night but this kind of thing discourages me from going, especially if I don't know I'll be around all year

This would be leinster season tickets, i presume.

TBH, i found the step between childrens/schools tickets and adult tickets a kick in the teeth too. There really should be an student/concession priced ticket.

When i was at Leicester i was able to get a student ticket for about 50% the normal cost.

It's pretty short sighted in my view as getting ah eap of students along on the friday night could really help the atmospehre

Indeed! Sorry I meant to mention it's Leinster :D

Tbh there's a good source of supporters living and studying down the road from Donnybrook (UCD obviously!) and why they wouldn't tap into that is beyond me.

Well I'm not gonna make the deadline now and part of me says screw em. Worse thing is I'd prefer to give money to the club over Murdoch or my local pub. I'll still go but with a season ticket I'd make sure I was there for all of them.

Glad to hear there's another voice of reason out there.

I sent a letter to ronan.odonnell at leinsterrugby.ie to voice my 'concerns'. Feel free to further the cause. :D

What Season ticket types are people getting???
there is a serious differance between the cheapest and the most expensive ones

    What exactly are you asking?

My point is there is a serious difference in the discounted tickets for under 18s upto any of the others.

Yeah I know what your point is.

I'm just asking what season ticket types people are going to buy for the coming season.

there are terraced, covered and seated season tickets.

I just want to know where the boards.ie Leinster fans will be situated (a little off topic I suppose, Sorry)

    the cheapest :)

Indeed. I might buy one - although I expect some sort of reply from the above.

Donnybrook is small enough that your not exactly losing out unless you don't like getting wet. The pitch looks great today (from the top of the bus).

Another thought: If 5 of you want to give me your application forms I can get my ticket for free...sounds good no?!

earlybird deal along with four friends and got the 5th ticket for €32. Meaning we each got a season ticket for 135ish. Saving of 40 on the full price season ticket :D

Just got a job in Dublin 2, would have gone in on that deal with you ruggie!
Might go and get one anyway.

I'll still consider getting one but I have to see if where I'll be first.

If there were people still interested I'd be more than pleased to share a discount.

Still no reply from Leinster which I have to say is poor but unsurprising.

Btw, does anyone know if Old Wesley players get a discount in tickets?

A bit off topic., but what exactly do you get with your season ticket? All home games? What about the HC? Or anything for internationals?

you get all the celtic league and HC pool games. Then first option on quarter/semi final tickets....and put into an exclusive draw for international tickets.

i reckon i'll be a school boy for a while longer.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,035 ✭✭✭Bri

You get 15 games guaranteed. If it's still a fiver in for school kids that'd be a lot cheaper than even a deal with friends.

Haha. Kevin what are you/do you look like? I've found I've gotten in easier without friends around me...

    And when I shave.

i'm 21, no one disagrees with me if i say i'm in school

    Poor show.

Can you get stident prices at the turnstiles.

When I was doing my masters I used to get student tickets for €5 instead of €15. That was for Munster matches though.

much cheaper than buying a season ticket

Was it definatley student or did you just get mistaken for a schoolboy? If there's a difference between the provences then it sucks even more.

    Thanks for the input.
