Does anyone know how I could clean fingerprints and grime off some slides? I'm scanning them into my computer, so they need to be clean, or there's all specks of dirt on them.

If it's just dust, blow it off using a hurricane blower. For fingerprints or heavier dirt, and if the slides are unmounted, load them into a film developing tank, wash with Photo-Flo or a similar wetting agent and allow them to soak for 20 mins or so with intermittant agitation, then hang them to dry (be very careful as the emulsion will be easily damaged while wet). Otherwise you could try wiping them with a Film Cleaning solution, though it can leave a slight (presumably harmless) residue on the film and you also risk scratching the slides if you're not careful.
