Item insurance

    I'm looking to get insurance to cover my digital SLR camera and lenses. I have roughly €1500 worth of equipment at the moment and I'd like to get insurance to cover it for any eventuality, including anything that might happen overseas/travelling.

    I don't really know much about insurance, so I'd like some advice as to what companies I should approach (do the banks do insurance for things like this?) and what kind of rate I could be looking at.
