Battlefield 2 Port Problem

Folks, I seem to be having problems connecting to BF2 servers that don't use the default port setting. I tried creating a pinhole for BF2 but this didn't seem to make any difference. Anyone have any idea as to what could be causing this problem? I posted this in the BF forum but got no replies. As I don't think its a game specific problem I thought I might get a bit more feedback here....

Also 16568/9 actually anything on that range.

Didnt think you would need to open ports as its uses the standard port range.

    What modem you using?

I am using a Netopia 3347W(The wireless one from eircom). I updated the firmware for it on Sunday morning but was encountering the problem prior to this. How do I check what ports I have open and open them if they are currently closed? I use zone alarm as my firewall but BF2 is allowed access to the internet. Any ideas?
