BSG Film to be made....

I was browsing over at AICN (http://www.aint-it-cool-news.com) and came across a post about a Battlestar Galactica film to be made. Read on...

This past weekend, Glen A. Larson appeared at the London Film & Comic Con. Anyway, one of the members of our site (Cylon.Org) went along and asked the Father/Creator the question if you're a fan of the classic Battlestar Galactica: "Is there going to be a movie?"

The answer is yes, and he's looking at a timescale of making it in 12-18 months and he's currently going over scripts for the film.

I'm kinda worried about this. I mean, I love the new series and have a passing interest in the original.. but I really DONT WANT TO SEE A GLEN A LARSON version of BSG made into a film.

Why can't they just stick with the series and let it be? It's only heading for Season 2 and already they are talking film? Nuts I say... Nuts to 'em!!

But Glen A. Larson isn't really involved in the new BSG series, is he?
He must be doing it to spite Moore&Co.'s "re-imagining" ...

The put his name in the credits of the new series, but that's about all he has to do with the series.

That aside, there are some truly fanatical fans of the original series who are basically frothing nutcases, ie the attacks on Aaron Douglas and the somewhat personal attacks on RDM I posted a while back.

So I guess this is to keep them happy.

I think, though, that this will just muddy the waters a lot, especially with the new series on air. I'm suprised it was green-lighted.

Besides, AICN has been known to be wrong. :D

Let's hope we collectively wake up one morning and realise it was all a dream

There is no way I'd want to see anything other than the RDM version of things at this stage. I'm hooked
