Just about to buy the r200 and theres a very good irish site mediawrite.ie offering very cheap ink cartridges:

    http://www.mediawrite.ie/Epson_R200_R300_R300ME_RX500_RX600.htm

Are these ink cartridges okay to be using and what seems to be the best value for money, is there any difference in the quality of the cheaper brand to epsons own brand!

i use the IM Jet brand cartridges, and as of yet i've had no problems with em. Howver, i have had 2 years of usage with Jet Tec cartridges (i tihnk thats how you spell it) for my old epson stylus colour 640, and they were excellant. So if you're worried about damaging your printer, i can recommend Jet Tec as being really high quality cheap refills.

I've only used about 3black and still on my first set of colour on the IM Jet ones, so i can't comment on their overall quality.

Also (not sure if its true or not) but it is said that the refill cartridges fade faster than original cartrides. So if you're planning on printing your photo collection, you may want to research that. Could be an urban myth.

theres a huge difference in quality, u might as well save your money and buy a second hand printer like the 640 or some older printer, as you won't get the quality out of the new one that way

I use normal official cartidges, better quality, longer lasting IMO

I son't know. I can't seem to find any reviews on ink quality for the compatible cartridges. Jet Tec get two thumbs up from me. I was well happy with the quality out of those. Of course, i amn't printing out my life history in photos with it. I'm just doing "regular" printing. :p

Your best bet is to find some reviews on em.
