is there any point in requesting 12click posts (12cp) here?
to me this doesn't seem to be an answer.
as far as i have seen on these board (over many years) you have to be superly stupid/rude/crude/dim to get deleted.

    thoughts?
[imho] other punishments seem to be the way to go

agreed, post links to abusive posts or violations and we'll review them. Its a last act to 12 click someone because as a rule they are then banned for good.

Everyone should have a voice so sometimes that means putting up with people who use theres in a way not everyone likes...

I've found that locking and maybe even deleting threads generally sorts out any misbehaviour but mostly a warning is enough. Newbie's always need sometime to sort themselves out too.

I vote for no more 12 click posts.

Thanks Micr0 - I would agree. Feel free to post urls to abusive and disruptive posts, but asking for someone to be 12-clicked should stop. The decision to 12-click someone is normally taken by cloud/devore/myself and the other admins after we've looked at the posts and user.

    Cloud/Devore, what do you think?

Agreed. Karma's there, let's use it.

Perhaps instead of their post count. Which could be moved to their profile.

That, my friend, is a f*cking good idea.

Removes the emphasis from boosting post stats to getting good karma.

    Can this be done? Please?

Perhaps the Karma system should be more visible - it'd be neat if people's Karma ratings appeared beside their names in the left hand column?

    I guess so.

AFAIR, Once your karma goes past -10 your account is disabled.

Okay, now a person's Karma is displayed beside the link. I've been testing it on the CS board (as DeV spotted!) and it seems to work okay.

I'm confused, I was asking how you unlocked that post... I could never find an unlock option...

Anyway, I dont see any change... I was hoping to get the post count replaced with the Karma count.

Anyway, I'm on irc most of the day today as I'll be packing etc. (moving flat!)
