Hey, I was around 20 years ago when Live Aid claimed to help Africa. It didn't and unfortunately nothing has changed. George Bush needs to get in there and sort things out. Great concert though.

If memory serves, Band Aid raised £8 million and Live Aid £40 million. While Africa needs a lot more than that to sort out its problems, there is no doubt that many thousands of lives were saved by this aid.

It may have escaped everyone's notice, but GWB's track record of "getting in there and sorting things out" is lacking to say the least.

Live Aid wasnt political, it wasnt supposed to change anything. It was to raise money for famine relief for a specific famine in Ethiopia.

It seems you want GWB to bomb Africa, why else would you suggest he sort things out

    Hello?

    Freedom of Iraq
    Captor of Sudam Hussein
Putting Bun Laden on the run
    Ending Taliban control of Afganistan

Usually people say he's doing to much to help others, the regular comment is: "He's the president of America, not the world... so fcuk off". People dont say he needs get out and do more!
Well, hopefully he will remove one or two more communist countries and unite them with a democarcy! While at the same time, sorting out the real problems within Africa!
