I'll take it for asking price if it's still available and new / unused.

Is it just PC World in Blanch that are doing the deal or all PC Worlds'

Its on the last few they have. If you can find them in the other stores (currys, dixons or any other PCW) they will have to price-match.

these can be bought for $90 on ebay.
I bought one (new) for that price months ago. 100 euros isnt really that good of a deal. That said, I might just buy me one tomorrow ;) .
My point is that pricing stuff relative to komplett is flawed, as komlpett really aernt that cheap any more.

Its not much of a special offer if no one can get it. Last time there was an offer the staff had put nearly all of them aside for their mates.

That´s strange, they had 3 boxes left (in the Bargain Zone) but no units. The guy that i spoke to said that they were all sold out and the boxes were put back by mistake

Another PC World "Offer" Why am I not surprised...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,891 ✭✭✭Jammer

Before you all jump to conclusions (although im a bit late), it wasnt a special offer. It was the last 5 they had left. Hence why THEY didnt ADVERTISE it!!

Ok, here is a short update from today

I went out to PC World Liffey Walley asked for the same hdd that PC World Blanch had in the Bargain Zone only to find out that they sell it for 149.99 Euro (!)

So i headed back to PC World Blanch hoping to find the box for the hdd that was on sale for 100 Euro. Couldn´t find one in the Bargain Zone, but somebody had put a box in the normal section were the hdd are.

So i picked it up, went to the Customer Service desk (cuz that were you need to collect and pay for them). I was expecting to get the "bad news" that it was sold out, but the girl nodded and went and collected it for me :D

So i asked the girl how come you were sold out on thursday and that you now have it? -"Well, we "found" 3 units in the warehouse yesterday"

So if you hurry guys/girls you be able to pickup the last two. You can only get them if you ask in Customer Service cuz there are no boxes left on the shelfs in the store. I was there at 1330 so there should still be 2 left now.

    It´s still a WD 250GB ATA100 8MB Cache

Offers in PC World always sound too good to be true. Especially when everything else in the store is massively more expensive than anywhere else. Theres only two things you get in PC World. Staff who know nothing about computers, and sky high prices.

If your posting offers from PC World please post the name of the sales person. Because anytime I've gone down to chase these "offers", they don't exist.

What is going on with PC World?

Sent a mate over to PC World to get the other 2 hdd, told him which girl to speak to but she wasn´t there. So he got hold of a guy that told him that hey were sold out a few days back. Then my mate explained that i was in just 20 in ago and bought one and was told there was two left.

But the guy said that he couldn´t do anything

So looks like it´s back to the secret handshake procedure for PC World and bargins. :(

If I didn't know better, you'd think it was someone in PC World posting these, because you can never get them. A mate was in there about 5 mins after the post appeared and noone he talked to knew about them either.
