Now that all three nights have been and gone, do you think the media really milked these "Home Coming" gigs, or were they really that good?

I was at the third one and thought it was amazing. I didn't believe the hype but it exceeded my expectations. I've never seen U2 live before though, love to know how it compares with their previous gigs.

was at the monday nite gig and have to say that it was amazing...have seen them twice before on both the zoo tv and popmart tours.....this one was different in it's concept but still up there...have to say that bono really held the crowd in his hand last nite...only thing that disappointed me was that some in the crowd didn't seem to know zoo station or the fly

U2 have a lot of younger fans who might not necessarily know their older stuff!

Personally I only got into them around Zoo TV time, and only know their big singles from before then.

Was at Monday nite too and was completely blown away by the whole show. Absolute legend stuff.

Did Boneo run around on stage with a White Flag in pixie boots?

I was at Friday's and Monday's and I have to say that last nights blew Friday's away and the sound was better.

Last nights show was unique, an incredible performance - totally different to the previous two. Perfect ending to the Irish leg with '40'. It's a tough call, but for me Saturdays show could never be beaten. Everyone was so up for it, the atmosphere was the best I've ever experienced at any event.
All in all a major triumph. ;)

I would consider myself a younger U2 fan and i have to admit some of there songs i didnt know which i was disapppointed with myself for not knowing more. 40, Zoo Station i didnt have a brezze. But the majority i new. This guy sang his heart out for those two but was slient for City of blinding lights and Sometimes you cant make it out your own which i know all the words and sang like a trooper.

I was at Saturdays and Mondays gig and they lived up to the hype. At the start i thought the big stage was crap because only a few lights came on for the early songs but once City of Blindling Lights came on the screen lit up. Brilliant....................Legends.

I was at Saturday nights gig, and I was talking to a friend of mine who works for MCD, he was talking to the U2 lads and they claim that "Saturday night was the best gig they ever played"

The pit was disappointing, I know you cant really mosh to U2 but its still fun.

I had never seen them before, and thought it was amazing. The Coexist thing was very cool as well. Yeah Bono is preachy but far less than what I expected. For some reason, we arrived at around 6pm and walked right into the pit, without any trouble. Here are a few of the good photos I took (but it was with phone, new 6680 1.3 mpixel, good but nothing compared to the ones above)

Some fantastic ones there... was in the Lower Cusack stand Monday night so didn't get that close.

But i got recordings of at least 1 of the light shows for every song (how fantastic was 'City Of Blindling Lights'?! :D). If anyone wants a gander at any of them.. just let me know and i'll upload 'em to the webspace!

The last one of the screen, it would make a pretty cool wall paper for a phone

I was at Monday night, good gig, not life-altering by any means. Big hype for me.

Ash were pretty good... nothing spectacular!

Arrived in my seat two songs in and was pretty impressed with their set.

Enjoyed most of it - particularly glad they played one of my favourite tracks from their newest album .. 'Renegade Cavalcade'. As well as 'Shining Light', 'Oh Yeah' and 'Burn Baby Burn' were all fantastic! Was also happy they didn't play 'Starcrossed' and 'Candy' - pants!!

Here's one or two shots of them taken of them (or more precisely while they were on stage.. you can see Tim in the screens anyways! :D) with my camera from the Lower Cusack.

    Ash 1
    Ash 2
    Ash 3
    Ash 4
    Ash 5

OK, their sound wasn't great where I was and they were pretty uneventful. They're not a mega stadium band.

I'd love to see these M8.

I'd love to see these M8.
They're Quicktime MOV's (with no sound) which range from 4 - 7MB in size (and 10 - 30 seconds in length).

Will try and compact 'em down and post the best one's up here tomorrow evening.
