    Hi,

Theres a couple of tickets going around the office to Live8 this weekend,I am half thinking of going but the travel is really expensive this late notice. Has anyone got any suggestions on how to get to London a bit cheaper?

    Thanks

ferry from dublin to hollyhead or roslare to pembroke or cork to swansea (go as a foot passenger its cheap out) and then get a train from these places to london. it will take a while but its the cheapest i can think of

If you can't get to London, you should post them to somebody in London who would be able to take advantage of them.

The cheapest way of getting to London that I know of is to take the coach but its a horrible way to travel. Apart from that discount airlines would be your best option, but as you say, with such short notice its not going to be cheap.

By coach is about €40-60 return.
By rail is about €80 return.

Either way you would have to take the overnight ferry or go Friday to be in London for the opening.
The early morning ferry and train is scheduled to arrive in London at 2.00

My sister went to London to see U2 there and I think she paid € 34 return or something on eurolines and ferry via holyhead
