Looking to buy a wooden picnic table - as heavy duty as possible, as it will live outside year round and want it to last as long as possible.

Any ideas the best place to buy one between Dublin and Wexford that can deliver to Wexford ?

Also, what should I be paying for such a beast.

    Many thanks.

Theres a place near gorey making them. Look to be very heavy strong tables. Let me know if you are interested as I will be passing that way each day this week and I can stop and ask price and get phone number for you.
Or you could build them yourself. Made one last week.

The Amish community in Dunmore East, Co Waterford make garden furniture with pressure treated yellow pine. Looks sturdy. They trade under Ideal Woodcrafts (051 383554)and have a display at the service station that is located half way between Waterford and Dunmore East.

I was in there last week and got a price list. Their traditional picnic table costs €399.

Stopped at the place between Carnew and Gorey this morning. Picnic Tables are €140 euro and delivery is extra depending on where you want it delivered. Very reasonable price as the tables are very sturdy. The wood used seems to be about 2 inces by 4 inches whic is a lot heavier than most tables

Just wanted to post an update message in case anyone was in the same position I was a few weeks ago.

Foxirl was very kind to stop one day to ask about prices for this table I bought. The guy - James - who made it is doing a course in cabinet making and is making these tables to earn an extra few quid so please give him your business if you want one of these. He did a fantastic job and delivered it for only 15 Euro extra. So all in all, this cost me 155 Euro. A total bargain.

Take a look at the pictures of the actual table below (does not include the parasol in the pic which you can get for 30 Euro near Wexford town).

Thanks again to Foxirl for taking the time and effort to stop and enquire about this !
