    Hi,

I have a fitness test tomorrow afternoon which involves running 1.5 miles. What would be a good meal to have tonight to make sure I feel in good shape and have plenty of energy tomorrow afternoon?

    Cheers

i don't think it really matters what you eat tonight, focus on what you'll eat tomorrow

Eat as normal today with plenty of water. Then dont eat for about 2 hours befor e the run tomorrow and you'll be grand.

what should I eat tomorrow then? The test is at 1pm

My mates doing it as well and he said we should have a feed of spuds, veg and fish plus plenty of water or powerade maybe.

tonight (and last nite)is the most important meal. pasta and loads of it. some grilled chicken and loads of water.
tbh you should have asked and tried this weeks ago. everyone reacts differently so you may get upset stomach from this.
tomorrow start off with porridge, no milk, bananas, chicken, loads of water.
id stay off the powerade etc unless ur certain it wont upset you. it does me.

Passed my test no bother. I had a feed of spuds, veg and fish the night before then Lucozade Sport.

Don't know if it made much of a differance to be honest!

what was your time? what else did the test involve?
my best mile is 5:10 so i mite do it under 7 if i went at it for a few weeks. no interest in long distance really though

I didn't actually get my time yet. Didn't get a chance to ask when I was finished. It definitely wasn't under 7 minutes! I'd say I did in 9 mins something.

The test also involved sit-ups and press-ups, nothing too difficult really. They were just making sure you were at the minimum requirement before they run you into the ground if you get in.
