    home game sat night.
DG- big stack 3/4 times next highest
    TD - short stack 19000
    PM - 27000
    Jem -33000

blinds 1k & 2k going up next hand to 2k/4k
jem on sb, dg on bb
    jem ac,4h
td calls bb, pm calls bb, jem makes up to bb , bb checks
    flop 10c,9h 2cchecked all around.
    turn jc.
    bb bet 2k,
    td goesall in for 17k,
Pm thinks for a long time says cant realy get away from hand goes all in for 25k.
    Jem to make a decision.
call with nut flush draw, go all in with nut draw or fold.

BB ver loose player, sure he was on steal, TD tight but probably had top pair and draw,
Pm probably made hand, 2 pairs or possible straight.
If I fold short stack with t/a on my right and Va on left who is hiting cards (had already hit 3 rivers on me)

I think if we have reduced ourselves to discussing plays like this then we are going nowhere but backward. Of course this is assuming that jem is an experienced player - or at least has played enough to understand the finer points of the game.

btw - if you haven't guessed - FOLD

I'd be thinking the BB has a pair of jacks. TD either has nothing or he's got a very good hand. Regardless, you need and Ace or preferably a club to get anything from this pot and, if it was me, I'd rather fold than unnecessarily commit nearly all my chips on a gamble.

    foldarama!

I know what the outcome was. You folded and the flush landed. Do not get caught up in results oriented thinking.

Yeah, seriously fold this once you've hit nothing on the flop. Nicky's right. When you fold 72o and 772 comes on the flop, do you kick yourself for folding? Surely not.

BB had sfa and was on the steal as I had read he folded so quick it was un real,
TD had top pair- jacks with a club,
Pm had kq off no club - straight,
Gob****e got a rare rush of blood to head and called on the draw, didnt hit flush, pm got the chips which put him very close to big stack in chips. won the game 15 min later.
I know it was a bad call, I had read the hands correctly and still made the dam call. It wasn't a call I would normally make in any way, 999 times out on 1000 i would fold. But having had a very bad 2 days ( child of a friend died the prev day) and very tired I recon the rush of blood went to my head. At the time my thinking was, I can get rid of two players here , Pm being IMHO the best player at the table, can put myself heads up where I would fancy my chances big time ( I have only ever lost 2 heads up live, 1 in kildare when the other player kept hiting runner runner to survive).tieredness def. had a major impact on the call as I didn't even tot up the pot odds correctly.

If he was on VC he should call 'cos then a club would come on the river.

Live though (assuming the dealer doesn't work for VC) it's a fold.

Call, cos it would be deadly if you hit your flush.
