would you not be roaming all the time on your UK sim ?

you would get charged more for the roaming texts ,
maybe the free texts do not work for roaming

you'd need to check it out .

if your an o2 customer, just go onine and register your details with them. you shoud get a €20 top-up for that for a start, but they give you 250 free web texts every month, and you can send them to anywhere in the world that has a decent mobile phone company. i use mine to text friends in england all the time. i think both vodafone and meteor offer free web texts online too, but i'm not sure if you can message abroad with theirs.

PS: I noticed from your spelling in your posts that you're using a mobile phone keypad to type your messages. How did you manage to get boards working with your mobile phone? The rest of us here have to use computers with full size keyboards to type our messages.

how can you tell that ?

The Meteor one only accepts 087/086/085 numbers. arrgggh. Probably would be worth getting a O2 sim just for online texts o2 the UK.

i would think so, o2 sell a sim card for 10 euros with 30 credit, no point in ever topping up just dispose of the card when its out of credit and get another one!
This is quite apart from the free web texts.
