    have you tried a DOS search on the drive?

    c:\ dir /s <filename>

    if the installation was done right it would set up a shortcut in start -> programs, and the default installation path is c:/program files/microsoft gif animator

    Check your start menu for any new stuff added. Then, if there is, right-click it, and check its properties. In its' properties, it should show its' install location.

    well then you obviously didnt install it right, download it again, and install it again

    If its microsoft branded try look in Start -> All Programs -> Accessories.

    Have you checked in Add/Remove Programs to see if it's listed there?
    Did you reboot after install - even if you weren't asked ?
