Can someone please tell me why TV/Radio presenter Carrie Crowley is always deemed as being unlucky. She presented the Eurovision (a huge job in Irish tv) and had a few tv series going, at one time she was very much the face of RTE and looked to have a very promosing career ahead of her and then she dissapeared, people now call her unlucky can people please tell me why this is and about Carrie etc please. Thank you in advance!!!

She was "unlucky" in that RTE had no clue about manageing her exposure, she went from nowhere to ubiquitous and got on many ppls nerves as a result. It was'nt her fault - she took the work as it came. Had her appearances on the boob tube been better spaced then chances are she would now be doing what Miriam O Callanhan is doing this summer rather than filling quiet corners of the RTE radio 1 schedule.

    She was over exposed.

They where repeating her chat show a few years back. Late Night on RTE One. It wouldn't have been something I would have tuned into but she actually very professional.

It was a pity that she was over exposed. She had a natural flare for a chat show host. She allowed it be about the guest not about her.

Yes she was burnt alive, such was her overexposure.

Agreed she has a natural ability to listen in a chat context. Unfortunately by the time her show came along on Thursday nights, she was already overly exposed. Combined with the over-saturated chat show market of the time and the poor calibre guests featured, she was slated by critics, some of it unfair.
Everyone agreed she was over exposed, even early on, yet nothing was done about it by RTÉ.

She would make a welcome reappearance to our screens.

You get to see that Comedian from Navan on it every now and then. What is his name?

God has TV got that bad that I have resorted to watching the morbegs.

I saw her in Cork a few months ago, rehearsing for some third-rate play. Last thing I heard she was living on the streets, giving wobble-jobs to homeless guys; and now I guess she's on crack.
