Is it running while Oscar is off becoming a poker superstar and international playboy?

I believe it's still running, although all entries and payouts are in that strange currency.

    So was it on?

    who won?

Young guy called Colin won it. Don't know if he's on boards. I got 2nd after blowing a near 3-1 chip-lead. I think there were 34 runners starting at 4:30, final table formed around 7:20 and it finished at 9. As has been said before, it's a well-structured tournament. Average stack on the final table was 25BBs. Anyone know how that compares to other tourneys?

BigD dealt me cowboys and had the audacity to deal himself the bullets. And they didn't even have the decency to be cracked! For shame, sir, for shame...

That was rough alright Paul, I was sat to your right for that hand. I came 5th in the end. I came onto the final table with 10k in chips and never got more than 13k before re-raising the big stack all-in for 10k with K9h, he had Q7os and hit the 7. I was happy enough with my play considering I only seen three decent hands all day and two of them coming on round 2. I had made a decision to try and get a call from the big stack as he was playing almost every hand at that point and I felt a double up could be there for the taking if the cards fell the right way but it never works that way ;)

How did that guy Nigel do? He was fairly well stacked when I left and where did the big stack come in the end (he was in seat 9), was that you crumbs, I thought he was a sure fire winner at that point?

    All the best
    Shay

I was there also. Didn't see many hands all night, but ones I got I played well I felt. Came to the final table as short stack. Won a few pre flop pots to keep me from being blinded out of it, then got Cowboys UTG, sweet I say to myself, they'll hardly be cracked for the 3rd tourney in a row? Raise half my stack, pretty much putting me pot commited. One person raises all in, I call. He shows AJo, I'm worried about the ace, but a K comes on the flop. I start counting the chips in my head, he runner runners a straight! What can you do?

Anyway, good to meet shaydy, and apparently big dragon was dealing the table which I was first moved to so it's nice to put faces to names. I enjoyed myself other than the hand I went out on, the starting chips and tourney structure allow for some nice play. I'd say I'd make this my regular tournament from here on in.

(after reading ionapauls post, I was sitting 2 to the left of you, didn't you run into Aces twice in the space of a few hands?)

Ahh, you're rigged so your play doesn't count!

Anyway, you induced my re-raise all in by giving John something as well. I can see now it was all an elaborate scheme that may easily have involved the CIA, the FBI, the KGB, the Gestapo, MI5 and probably the Mythical Knights of St. Wilbur. That's my story and I'm sticking to it...

Crumbs=Nige. Guy in seat 9 went out in 3rd and it was seat 7 that won.

Cant believe u didnt win it Nigel. You put me out on table 1 so I was an interested spectator when down to 3 players. You had a big chip advantage and were playing very well. Well done nonetheless. It was my first sample of this event and defo not the last. Top class tourney.
