Ideas for Sponsorship

    Here we go....
me and some friends have bought a 56 seater Coach with the intention of converting it into a sorta camper van style vehicle to sleep eight of us-a cheap version of a band tour bus if you like :D

Anyways we are going to be using it next year for a road trip around Germany taking in the month of the World Cup.
We have about 1/3 - 1/2 of the work completed and well cash is starting to run a lil dry and we could use some help :D

So we were thinking has anyone got any ideas on how to secure some sorta sponsorship to cover some costs.A 56 seater coach travelling around Germany being seen by possibly millions decked out in a company logo or name is after all the height of advertising! So anyone know how to go about it and you think there might be some interest from companies in our idea?
Anyone got any other ideas for raising cash?

We were thinking about emailing the wee grey man from kildare on the radio (D'Arcy!)about seeing what he could fix up for us and we would offer our services to him as sorta roving reporters for the duration of the trip giving behind the scenes accounts of the craic at night with all the different fans etc.....

So come on now feel free to share any advice on the matter
It will all be greatfully appreciated :)

I'm no expert on these kinda things, but you could try and ask the likesof Guinness/Diago for sponsership, although ethically unsound it might raise some cash ! If ye set up a website and promoted it ye could get sum ads on it and possibly make some money from them too !

    Just a suggestion,

Provided Ireland qualify I'd try Carlsberg seeing as they're the sponsors of the Irish team. Also make sure to get in touch with the Fox of Ireland (TV3) before you leave. Trevor Welch would probably do a 1/2 hour special on you!

Ya stick it on ebay, you might get that Golden Palace Casino eegit who won the popes car, etc to buy it... That dude has paid for advirtising space on cleevage, foreheads, etc, (go to the number beside his feedback, and you see the item numbers he's won...) he'll surely pay a fortune for it... Oh and if this idea works, I live near Munich and you're buying me a pint :)

aren't eircom the sponsors i thought ? Or are Carlsberg the Official Beer to the team ?

"Carlsberg don't do sponsorship, but if we did it'd probably be the best sponsorship in the world" ;)

    Drop these guys a line..

    info@cybercom.ie

They're a marketing company.. My Mum works for them and my sis used to. They're always looking for marketing ideas for alchohal companies, and this could be the kinda thing they'd be interested in. They've got very high budgets and you'd be sponsored by a beer company (maybe Bud or Harp).

If they give you the go ahead, send me a pm, I'd appreciate it. ;)

i'd say your best chances of sponsorship would be to contact the officiail sponsors of the world cup, the usuals like coca cola etc. because there's no point going for irish based comapny's that nobody has heard about, big companies that are sponsoring the event will always look for an extra edge to market their product, well imo anyway
