What am I doing wrong -no weight loss

I changed gyms abut 3-4 months ago and decided to get an assessment and training schedule. I was put on ( what I would consider anyway) a fairly cardio intensive programme. 3-4 times a week I do 50 mins of treadmill with cross trainer to break the boredom. I sometimes alternate bike or rower for cross trainer, but either way its a min of 30-35 mins on treadmill at a fair pace.
I also recently completed a 10k run in reasonable time and had been on the road for a few weeks to train.

In spite of all this my weight has not budged one single kilogram.

I think my diet is ok - no choc, sweets or rubbish. Avoid white bread, rice etc. I am only a moderate drinker.

    Any ideas?

    What age/weight/height are you?
What speeds are you doing on the treadmill?
How often do you eat, and how much do you eat at each meal?

    I am 28. 6 foot. 88 kg. Male ! Fairly broad

    I would run at about 10 - 11 speed.

Generally eat 4 times a day, not huge amounts. But sometimes I would end up eating late in the evening - after 9 pm.

    Cheers

Well eating after 9pm in the evening is not done if you want to lose weight. You say you're 6 foot and broad - does that mean you do weights and are muscular?

You're mixing up your cardio, which is good. Do you snack between your 4 meals?

Have you ever actually kept a record of what you are eating and checked just how much fat/carbs/protein you are putting in?
You might be very suprised at how it all adds up. I'd recommend signing up to fitday.com (free) and recording everything you eat for a couple of weeks and see just exactly how well you are or are not eating.

You are not exactly overweight. Maybe thats just the weight that is right for you, sometimes its in your genes and there is bugger all you can do about it.

This is a strange question, but do you l'ook fat', if you know what i mean. 88 kg does not sound much to me, espically as your tall.

    Thanks for all the advice.

I dont look like I am carrying weight (apart from the ususal love handles !) but its just that I thought the exercise would have some effect.
I will definitely pay closer attention to my fats/carb/protein mix.

I suppose the older you get the slower the metabolism also.

The reason why your weight has not budged might be that you have put on muscle while burning fat. Jus keep checking labels for contents, calories, etc. Vary your routine and keep the body guessing.

    Its very simple:
Burn more calories than you eat and you'll lose weight.
The first part of a good diet is figuring out how much calories you need per day. then break that allowance into protein, carbs and fats and then break each of the 3 up in to actual foods that are healthy.
You're only half doing the diet thing right by eating healthy.
You can get fat by eating lettuce only if you eat too much of it you know
