Me and a few friends (about 5 or 6 of us in all) want to head off for a few days next week. At this stage, somewhere in Ireland is the only option so does anyone have any good places where to go? Somewhere self catering, cheap, plenty of stuff to do (pubs in other words). Cheers.

ehem... i dont remember the invite TBH :(

i can recommend Doolin, Co. Clare.... I was there over new years. Rented a cottage for a week (http://www.doolincottages.com). Cheap enough. 2 pubs, good food, good beer. You will more than likely need a car if you want to see much in the area.

    Its big 'Father Ted' country:

-> The very dark caves (aloee caves)
-> The very tall cliffs (cliffs of moher)
-> and we saw Ted's house.... dope... :D

...you're lucky that i wont be available next week :p

Doolin you say? Interesting. Besides, you're not younger than 21. I'll be the oldest on this little journey...

Ah jaysus, don't be saying that, it's just wrong.

Just looking at Ferry's too. Could get the ferry to Holyhead then the train to Liverpool. Opinion?

There is a lovely hostel in dingle: http://www.net-rainbow.com/Hostel.html

What age are you? what you after? If its hitting on foreign chicks you can't beat a hostel.

Dare I suggest you come North. We have great hostels, and honestly we won't kill you ;)

This one is beside the giants causeway, rope bridge, bushmills etc http://www.castlehostel.com the town has great nightlife.

Also you could go on to Derry, then into Donegal. Donegal is great -you'll never leave :)

not much of a holiday to be honest... The ferry is a pain in the arse. Holyhead is a kip and there ain't much to do in Liverpool. You'd have a far better time somewhere in Ireland....

The dingle suggestion is also good... I headed down there 'back in the day' with a bunch of guys and gals... great week...

Hmmm, we're still looking at cheap flights out of the country. Belfast is an option as is Donegal. We're between 17 and 21.
