My parents' 35th wedding anniversary is coming up soon. Any suggestions on what are typical gifts for this occasion? I don't have a large budget but want to offer somthing both traditional and original.

according to this 35th is the Jade anniversary. Consider something with jade.

yeah, jade or coral... not sure what I could get made of these... perhaps a photo frame ... I'm useless when it comes to presents!

Yeah photo frame is a good idea. Especially if you can find a photo with special relevance to put in it. Say their last big anniversary/wedding day/other older photo of them that's particularly nice.

For my parents' last "milestone" anniversary, myself and siblings got together and got a photo of ourselves framed for them. We all live away from home and it's a very rare occasion, like Christmas, that will have the family all in the same place for even a couple of days. They quite liked it...

Grandkids? Ha, ha, good one! They'll have to wait at least another 10 years.
