    I was copying some music froma cd to the WMP suddenly the comp restart and these two things happened:

    There's absolutely nothing on the rycycling bin. However, there is a simbol of unemtied recycling bin. So I tried to empty it, and the confirmation alert was:"are you sure you want to delete windows?"

    this is the one on the "event viewer":
    {Delayed Write Failed} Windows was unable to save all the data for the file . The data has been lost. This error may be caused by a failure of your computer hardware or network connection. Please try to save this file elsewhere

    Unlikely to be a virus.

    You need to run Scan disk and prob some sore of reg fix program.

    Sounds like things have got a little corrupted.

    Try Tune Up Utilities on a 30 day trial

    this:
    {Delayed Write Failed}

    and this
    you need to run Scan disk and prob some sore of reg fix program.

    Is probably the fastest route to data loss!

    delayed write failed is "most" commonly a cache failure caused by:

    1. HD or HD bus failure. (cable, bad cache) Also usuing a 40 lead cable on with a UATA (80 lead) controller and drive, or mixing optical drive on the same channel.

    2. Bad RAM

    these can cause registry corruption, but thats not really the problem!

    have you made any hardware changes recently?
